Roots Community Birth Center hosts comprehensive Childbirth Education and parenting groups at our location in Minneapolis.
Childbirth Education at Roots
Class Includes:
4-hour, in-person class
Expert education from Roots midwife Mandi Pittman. CPM, LM, LCCE.
Free for Roots families ($150 for outside families).
Learn about the normal stages of labor
Hands-on comfort measures and positions for coping
Tools for handling unexpected situations
Understanding postpartum, newborn care, and feeding basics
Roots’ Parenting Group
Group Includes:
Weekly meet-up on Thursdays 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. located at Roots Community Birth Center in Minneapolis.
Effective June 23, 2026 group will begin meeting TUESDAYS 10:00am-11:30am
Free for current, former, and non-Roots families.
Led by Root’s midwife, Rachel Voigt, CPM.
Perfect for families with young children.
Children are welcome and remain with parents.
Coffee and snacks are available.
Transportation assistance is available if needed.
